Work place bullying?

My mother is a victim of work-place bullying and vicimization. She is currently on suspension and the managers at her place of work aren't supporting her. She is a very proud and hard working person and her work has been her life. She has not had a problem in over a decade of service until this new manager appeared on the scene a year or so ago. She does not have any support from her union, they say they will contact her and nobody ever does. I am so scared for her as her healthis deteriorating and at it's worst she is contemplating suicide. Help!!!

Your mother needs to go to the State Division of Employment and speak with a claims officer there. It sounds like she should file a complaint for Harrasment and or Hostile Workplace Environment with the EEO people there.
This is a serious issure and should be dealt with at once, once she does this the company cannot retaliate against her any more because they will come under investigation by the state EEO office.

If the manager is harrassing her there are laws to protect the workers did she try to contact the department of labor?

If the union (which doesnt surprise me) wont help then see a personal injury attorney, peoples attitudes change when they see money loss coming. Some parents of kids have done this when school place bullying took place and the changes were made.
