Bullying at work by management? |
I have been off work for 5 months due to severe stress related illness caused by work, my employers are still harressing me at home and won't leave me alone. union and HR are aware but nothing is moving forward, they are now trying to pin a criminal charge on me when i haven't been near the office for 5 months, this i think is because i have laid 37 grievances against them, can anybody offer advice especially if you have been treated the same, I am at breaking point!!!! May i add that i am not being paid for the time i am off!!! You need to get your union involved more. You may have to push them. Ask them directly what exactly the next step is. They need to have a plan and let you know. As far as the employers bothering you at home, insist the union intercede and ask the union to tell your employer that all communication will be done through the union. So, let me get this straight. You've been away from the office for 5 months, still getting paid, and you wonder why your employer is mad at you? Hi Sally - I'm thinking you might need to seek a psychiatric assessment. You sound very stress and could obviously use some assistance. Good luck if you have your fact and proof - go to a lawyer - they won't charge for a consulatation - then if it looks like a go - sue their buddocks off Sorry to hear about your probs I am in same position and its niether a nice or easy position were any of the grievences upheld as this could help you the only advice I can offer is keeping your union rep informed and is there any legal services on offer to you through the union or speak to a lawyer first appointment is usually free and good luck stand up for your self when your bosses give you sh1t give it back to them i have just been discussing this with my partner and he said he only had this problem once he works in restaurants and found himself working under a Gorden Ramsey type but he resolved it by grabbing him round the throat and threatening to chop his hand off it solved his problem and that chef never bothered him again but the chef was off sick for about six months as he had a break down have you got a doctors paper, you say your not getting any pay your entitled to ssp.dont answer the phone to your employer, ring them yourself and tell them any further communications are to be between them and your doctor as long as you have a doctors paper they cant do alot really, personally id tell em to shove the job up their...................................... Can you chat to your lawyer/solicitor about what to do? I assume you have one if you don't them get one quick! Also your Union should be supporting you. Tell work to stop contacting you at home as it's making you feel more stressed. Keep notes of everything they do, you will need them, if you are going to court. I would also speak to you doc, you might need a doc's report too. Good luck x Five months! Come on! You must be getting SOME pay, and you are still officially employed, so why should they "just leave you alone"? There's too much of this going on, stress is the new 'flu. While you are off, somebody else has got to be doing your job. What is your plan for the future? More of the same? 37 greivances? This is unbelievable. If the stress is caused by the job, why would you ever want to go back? Just quit and move on. You've got a life to be getting on with. Most of the previous lilly-livered namby-pamby answers won't he;p you in the least, they will just leave you in the same situation, which I believe you want to get out of. Pick a day, today would be good, and decide "that's it! Today I move on! Screw the job! Screw yesterday! It's over! I've got a life to live and it begins today!" Make a plan, and work the plan. You can most definately do it. Good luck. |
