Does bullying cause depression?

Well..I am not sure if bullying itself CAN lead to depression but bullying is certainly not an ego-booster. Thats for sure. I guess constant taunting about things that you may be sensitive about can really hurt and may lead you to feel bad but I am not sure if that would classify as "clinical depression" in the true meaning of the term.

It causes one to lose self confidence as the one bullying runs you down. That leads to depression.
