Bulimia... :(? |
i'm secretly suffering bulimia.. i wanna break down and cry :( I'm 14 and have been builmic since i was 12. Here's the thing your life sounds EXACTLY like mine. i would first start by telling a friend your own age. (they seem to be the best) This is something that you must get control of now. I have been bulimic for nearly 15 years. It becomes an addiction, something that you hate & wish you could stop but you can't. If you don't get help now, it will ruin you. Please take my advice, I promise I know. Report It Good Luck Report It Heyy, I also suffer from eating disorder, I think maybe we can make friend, because no one can really understand our pain, and helplessness. May I change MSN with u? I鈥檓 23 years old, female, single, live in Taiwan. Report It I was healed of bulimia/anorexia over 12 yrs ago. It started at age 14. Listen to those who wish they could go back and never do this, I was lucky.. my healing came thru the power of God. Visit our free site for online support, anytime. keyword google I'm sure theres plenty of groups but b/c you're under 18 goodluck finding anonymous help...anyway I got bad around your age too, your gonna be in HS I figured this is important to know: DON'T DRINK...or take pills, the combination of a ED and all the usual high school stuff can be really bad. Report It And it really helps if you have a couple trustworthy friends who also have an ED, just make sure that being around each other isn't making it worse....I know from experience it can go either way. Report It It worsen in time.....soon you be vomiting 5x a day....tell yours doctor she know what to do... Report It You need to tell your father. he will get you the help your mother has failed to do. get help!!!! tell tour parents so that you can be put in rehab. hurry hi i am sorry but i forgot but my friend goes to a therepy im not sure what it was called ill add to this when i ask her Can you talk to your counselor at school? Bulimia is a form of depression. I suffered from it in my early 20s. It makes you feel in control with your self image. It had very poor self esteem and felt overweigt all the time. I did this and ended up in the hospital. It is a disease and can be treated so try to talk to your parents or counselor. You really need help. You are robbing your body of nutrients when you do this. You could seriously become ill. omg tell youre parents!! they love u no matter what http://www.mamashealth.com/bulimia.asp Check out this website http://www.teenadviceonline.org/gethelp/... I would suggest going to a school counselor. You could tell them anything and maybe they could set up a consultation with your parents. Then maybe your parents would come to realize that this is in fact a serious situation. Your parents only want the best for you (I would hope). The best thing would be going into a rehab and you could get the therapy there. It seems like you may be doing this partly to get attention. I'm sorry your mother blew it off..please find someone else to confide in. A school counselor is a great person to go to because they are trained to deal with this sort of situation. Your counselor may recommend groups to go to so you can talk to other girls going through the same thing. They will help build up your self-esteem, which is really the root of all eating disorders. I know what you're going through..please get help and take care of yourself I am not going to lecture you. As hard as it may be, I think you should come out and tell your mom that you have bulimia. Obviously, bulimia is caused by problems in your life (ex. family), so you should probably go to a psychologist to help you. If you can't directly tell your mom, maybe you should tell a friend and the friend's mom will tell your mom. But I'm sure your mom would want it to come from you. Once you are in treatment, it is hard, but everything gets much better. You just have to get over this one hill and then you're on you way to recovery. So tell your Mom. Good luck and I hope you get better! Please get help in stopping this is no laughing matter. I knew a lady who dislocated her stomach and she had to have surgery to put it back into place again.Yes tell your Dad if you think he'll be more sympathetic and help you get the help you need. There are groups in many cities look in the phone book for mental health your Dad's insurance should pay for your Therapy. Good luck sweety! Try "somethingfishy.com" is a bulimia and anorexia website. Please tell your Dad. THIS IS A LIFETHREATING CONDITION. I know you didn't want me to lecture you... I would suggest that you call a hotline or talk to someone you can confide in. Next time you start to throw up or think about not eating then sit there and really think about what you are doing to your body. Try to talk to someone who you know you can trust. This week sit your parents down and tell them what is happening to you. Assure them that you know you have a problem, and that you do want help. Do tell your dad, and don't mention anything about how your mom responded. The next time you tell your mother, pull her aside and tell her that it's serious. Lectures do very little good, as they're just verbal punishment, nothing serious or anything. Don't blow your mom off when she says that she's going to schedule doctor appointments, either. Next time, tell her that you do want to go, and you do want help with it. if you can't talk to your parents talk to a teacher or someone at school like the nurse, they'll help you.You can talk to me too, I was like it myself, and I'm stiil recovering . IMA CHARGIN' MAH LAZER! waaaaaaaaa... you're bulimic for attention.. obviously because you're trying to tell your mom.. Grow up and be an adult! stop being a baby! Just think about the oppurtunities you are getting from the nutrientsin food!!!!!!!!!!! :) Don't worry so much. You're only 12, so figure out why you're doing it in the first place. Do you think you're overweight? |
