Bulimia???????????????

Um. Ok I just read this book Perfect at my school and I finished it was great. But it made me even more self concious. And I've been think about making myself throw up but ya. And I have been gaining a few pounds so it sounds better and better every day so. I'm not sure if I'm sure because I am thin and I am pretty because I get told that a lot but i don't know. So should I throw up or get therapy or go see a doctor? I don't know.

Um could you tell me what to do to make my self feel better?

Hunny I would see someone about this. Please don't make your self sick. I would start with your doctor and see what they have to say. Making ur self sick and cause alot of damage. Trust me. Hang in there and please make in appt to see your doctor. Hang in there!

does throwing up sound healthy to you? because it's not. you need food in your system to be healthy and LOOK healthy. People who throw up after they eat look very unhealthy bc it does a lot of damage to their body. food is good for you and if you are gaining a few pounds just eat healthy and go for a walk or run. don't take the EASY unhealthy way out. Eating healthier will make you feel better as well as working out. You'll feel more fit and you will have tons of energy as oppose to resorting to bullemia. You will be so weak if you don't keep your food down.

NO dont make yourself sick whatever you do. go and see a doctor and dont keep reading things about being perfect it will only make things worse for you. being bulimic is not a good thing it messes your body up and it takes a lot of time to recover from it-if at all. if your gaining more weight do more excersise or go to your doctor in case you have thyroid problems you can have a blood test to rule out any problems.

dude, DO NOT EVEN GO THERE.
having an eating disorder is like having a disease...it will eventually kill you.
plus, being healthy with a "few pounds" is wayyy better than being sick, unhealthy girl person with a rotted esophagus and yellowed teeth and bad breath and heart problems.

Its good that you recognising that this feeling is wrong and that you are wanting help. It sounds like you already know that this is wrong, so please don't start making yourself sick, it causes so many other health problems than you may first realise.

I think having a word with your GP may help if you explain that you are honestly thinking of making yourself sick. He may refer you for some sort of therapy to help.

Just remember, you are are not fat and if you want to lose a couple of pounds theres a lot less harmful ways to do so. If you are naturaly thin, it probably wouldn't take you long to lose a couple of pounds through eating healthy and doing a bit of exercise if you did want to lose a little bit.

honestly its interesting that ppl see that as a weight loss alternative, my sister had this problem for a long time and she actually gained weight from it because eventually your body rebels from that kind of control of it. Also if you look at it realisticly, bulimia does not get rid of calories, if you look at the research behind it, only about 100 calories of like 2000 are ommitted during a binge. What is lost is the water. My sister fainted a lot during her episodes because she was so water depleated. So while it gives the illusion of losing weight, the reality is it is just a sure fire way to begin a very unheathy lifestyle with food that will take years to correct. The best thing you can possibly do for yourself is do everything in moderation, eat when your hungry dont eat when you arent hungry, find a physical activity that you love and do it. You will find that when your body is in balance then you can learn to be happy with yourself and your body will fall into the weight that it is supposed to be at, the weight that it looks the most beautiful. So good luck, and I really hope you don't take the bulimia route it has 0% success rate in the long run, learn now how to be healthy and you will be healthy all your life:)

You already know what you need to do__GET YOURSELF SOME PROFESSIONAL HELP!!! This is the start of a horrible situation that you don't need to be in. It sounds like a great solution, but it will take over your life, & turn you into someone you wouldn't recognize. Nothing good comes from bulimia--after over 30 years of struggle I still relapse every now & then. My teeth are ruined, I have heart problems, my bones are those of someone 20-30 years older, I have esophageal problems & acid reflux. I'm not comfortable eating in front of other people. Does this sound like something you want to do to yourself??? THINK!!!
