Bulimia...? |
so i have this friend whos been bulimic since september. go to the (school) counselor and tell her/him but so your friend soesnt find out dont tell anyone tha you went to the school counselor about it I am bulimic so i feel that i can help you in this situation. It's a very hard thing to go through and she sees her body in a completely differnet way then everyone else does. I would encourage you to read up on information and especailly the book living with ed. The best help you can offer her is just to be an encouragement let her know any time of day she can call you. I wouldn't tell her mom just yet let her know that you are with her and encourage her to tell her mom. If in about a month she hasn't told her mom then i think you need to do it. Let me know how everything goes, and if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me! if you know she's bulimic, i'm guessing you either found out yourself or she told you in confidence. especially if it's the latter, i wouldn't tell her mum about it, because if she told you she would have trusted you enough to keep it a secret and you would be betraying that trust. try to talk to her, ask her the reason of her trouble but dont try to judge or criticize her... try to find mass communication such as books, articles or web pages for her to reflect... if nothin of those work, try to find other bulimic people to help and talk with her... But remember, never leave her and give her all your love and support...she麓ll thank you when realising about her real problem |
