How long does it take for bulimia to start effecting a person negatively? How long before serious damages are done that can't be reversed? If you've had bulimia what are some ways you got over it? You can actually get cancer of the esophagus. The vomit can cause your teeth to rot. Your hair will start to fall out. Those are just a few, including death. -LL I was bulimic when I was younger but I didn't see it affect me at all. But, for the average bulimic they'll experience rotting of the teeth, infections of the throat and sores on their hands (if their fingers are used to induce vomiting), malnutrition, increased hair loss, and sagging of the belly. Bulimia or any eating disorder can negatively affect someone in very short time. Eating Disorders can affect serotonin levels, electrolyte levels, deprive your body of needed nutrients, erode your digestive tract, and possibly create heart problems. |
