Bulimia diagnose?

Is it possible to diagnose bulimia by looking at a persons throat?

Bulimia nervosa is recurrent episodes of binge eating followed by self-induced vomiting, laxative or diuretic abuse, vigorous exercise, or fasting. Diagnosis is based on history and examination. Treatment is with psychotherapy and SSRIs, especially fluoxetine.
A dental exam may show dental cavities or gum infections (such as gingivitis). The enamel of the teeth may be eroded or pitted because of excessive exposure to acid in vomitus.
A chem-20 may show an electrolyte imbalance (such as hypokalemia) or dehydration.

im not sure but u can uaually tell by their teeth and if they have saggy pouchy cheeks...

Bulimia is a psychiatric disorder. The diagnosis is made by criteria which must be present for a proper diagnosis (criteria based on the DSM IV, a manual which has diagnostic criteria for all psychiatric disorders). There may be physical signs in bulimic patients such as erosion of the tooth enamel, scrapes on the fingers due to induced vomiting. However these signs may corroborate the diagnosis but are not part of the criteria.

some times but usaly the saggy cheeks and paleness is a good sign some times the throat gets irritated and if they use there finger its sometimes gets all gross (if u saw it you would know what i mean) thir teeth get nasty and they tend to look deprived (dark circles under eyes, glassy eyed, pale, saggy , bad breath ect.) yes it is possible to see because the acid can eventually "burn" the flesh in the throat

its NASTY
never get bulimia
