Bulimia problem???

I used to have bulimia about a year ago. I pulled myself out of it. Recently I tried it again. Now I feel guilty, and I think my dad knows. We're very close and it's so awkward. Should I tell him? Or should I just forget about it? What should I say? Thank you so much.

I know how bad it is. That's why I stopped.

Tell him so that he can help you. If you had a child who had bulemia and was going through what you are experiencing would you want to know?

Just be truthful - kicking patterns and faulty coping mechanisms is hard - with dads help you know you can get a handle on this because you had already done it. Consider the last year as practice and now you are ready to tackle it once and for good.

well if it was only a one time thing, then dont and stop as soon as you can

bulima is not a good way to loose weight and usually isnt as affective

and destroyes you stomach, throat, teeth, and mouth

it can also eat away the esophegus causing cancer

You can cause yourself to have a heart attack if this is something you've done in the past and you feel like you are going to start it again please tell your father, I know someone that died with this illness. take care.

If you're close, he'll understand.

Please do me a favor, sweetheart...and just tell him.

One time thing or not, just in case you have a real relapse, please, please say something to him if you trust him, simply because bulimia is terrible for you and an ineffective way to really lose weight.
Too many die from it, even if it's just a little at a time. Remember that.

Take care, and hope it all works out.

Honesty will get you the farthest. If its already awkward, you should just tell him the truth. It sems like you admitted it to be a pr oblem, you need to face it...and that means telling your father. Once you have bulimia, or any other eating disorders, you have to deal with it for the rest of your life. Theres an underlying issue you need to deal with, and people usually bring it out in different ways, such as eating disorders, alcoholism, and co-dependancy. You should seek proffessional help, without the help, it will ruin your life. Take care.
