Bruxism (Help)? |
Ok, Some ways to help stop grinding during the day is to try to make a conscious effort to recognize when you are grinding, and remind yourself to stop. You may also try chewing gum, so that way when you are not aware of what you are doing, at least you are chewing instead of grinding. I wear a bite guard, or bruxism splint at night and it really helps. Your dentist can take impressions to make you one. There are some mouth guards over the counter you could buy, but those aren't usually recommeded. The guard your dentist can make for you is custom and all you teeth will bite evenly on it. Which is what you want. In some cases if somone clenches or grinds a lot during the day they have to wear the bruxism splint then also. Find a dentist in your area who is a PANKEY dentist. Check out http://www.pankeydentist.org/main.php. They have special training in splint therapy and bite adjustment. Take a calcium/magnesium supplement before bed. hey u answered my last question about losin weight n u asked me 2 email u but i dont have ur email cuz i want to ask u more questions since ur the same age as me thnx just email me at thatz_me_pplzz@yahoo.com thnx |
