Who has had TMJ as a result of taking Paxil? |
Started taking Paxil spring of 2002, began having horrible head pains from TMJ fall of 2003, surgery in both sockets spring of 2005... and starting to discover many people experiene bruxism as a side-effect of Paxil, which over time will cause severe TMJ. My TMJ was so serious that scar tissue was holding both cartilidge discs out of place. Class action lawsuit against GSK, mfg'ers of Paxil? i have been taking anti-depressants for the last 2 1/2 years or so, mostly zoloft, and paxil for a short while. i began to experience teeth grinding/jaw clenching soon after i initially started on the anti-depressants. i have since been diagnosed with tmj. no surgery has been required yet, but i am wearing through the mouthguard something fearsome, and am still in pain. i have since quit the anti-depressants all together. a class action suit might be a good idea. This is a good question, i took Paxil for almost a year, and now have TMJ also. Wow, I never knew there was a connection. I've been taking Paxil CR for two years and I have TERRIBLE TMJ. I've been using a night-guard to keep my teeth from grinding on each other, but I still have terrible jaw pains. |
