Is there anything --especially alternative health, nutrients,or herbs that will help stop severe toothgrinding |
(bruxism).(do not mention mouth guards as I know this one).what causes this.. I have this problem too. When you have brusism and wear a night guard, it only makes you want to grind onto the night guard. As you know this can cause migraines, sore jaw, and even cracked teeth which can need root canals. Ask your dentist about a NTI. It is a very small night guard that just goes on your two front teeth (upper) and keep your mouth from closing. Sounds weird, but as a dental asst I swear by it. I have had migraines for 10 years and this is the only thing that has worked. Other then that, bruxism is normally caused by stress. Good luck!! there is nothing that can stop bruxism, but counselling can be of great help as it involves pyshological component too. |
