Lower Jaw Twitching?

I have found that when i try to meditate and often fall asleep (whilst lying on my back) my lower jaw starts twitching madly. I am not sure if it's connected or not, but i also have recurring dreams of my teeth breaking up and falling out, It's just horrible... I'm wondering if anyone knows the cause of the jaw twitching, and please don't say teeth clenching or bruxism, because i know it's not that as my teeth do not even touch.

sounds like a nightmare.

lol, yeah right... and you called yourself a RN? yet confuse physiologocial and psychological. Life Experience? Have you actually had this occur yourself? I was looking for a serious answer, but alas there wasn't one. At least the other guy was humourous. I certainly didn't vote for this. Report It
