Ankle pain, never felt it before....? |
so saturday I was walking around a lot, i know for a fact I did not trip or hurt it in any way. Once i woke up on sunday it hurt if I put any weight on it. I mean ive sprained my ankle before (never severely) but this pain is different. It is in my ankle and feels like a bruised bone when weight it on it. I can't walk without limping. so its monday now and it still hurts when I walk, my parents said not to worry bout it unless it still hurts in a couple days. so if someone can maybe explain what the possibilites are, that would be greaaattt.... Well first you should use the RICE method... R= rest I= ice C= compression and E= elevation. You should compress it with an ace wrap or some type of ankle brace. If it hurts bad enough get an appointment with your doctor. Also you can call your local pharmacy and rent crutches for a week if it hurts bad enough, besides you should probably stay off your foot/ankle for a while anyway. Take some pain meds. like Ibuprofen (Motrin) for swelling and pain. Ice for 20 minutes every hour or every few hours... Hope this help and I hope you feel better...
