After Extractions and White Gums?

Hi,
I recently had 9 extractions done under sedation...
iv noticed however where one of the stitches is over the gum area between where the tooth was and the tooth that is next to ithad swolen up and appeared bruised last night.
today however the same area seems to be white.. and im worried that perhaps the stitch is cutting off circulation.

i dont have any pain from the gum apart from after using corsadyl mouthwash and swirling it about my mouth.

the area that this is happening is (if looking into my mouth) the the area between the former Lower left front pointed tooth and the lower centre teethheading towards the right hand side of my mouth.

can anyone suggest whats the matter, i dont want to call the dentist and seem overly paniced if its a normal part of the recovery.

thanks

Extrations were done on monday evening.
at a Clinic specialising in treatment under sedation, was refered by my dentist.

Extractions were done as the teeth were too rotted to repair or fill.

i had 9 extractions under sedation....similar problem...its nothing to worry about, just the natural healing process of the body.

This is normal. It just means that area is no longer circulating blood through it. It was probably cut during the extractions. That is also normal. Parts of the tissue will heal together while others fall off like scabs.

After having my wisdom teeth removed I had the same problem but I had just assumed it was part of the healing and apparently it was since nothing bad ever came from it and it went away.

It is normal, I thought that I had got food in the socket because it looked white. Don't worry it is normal.

Alot depends on the reason you had to loose your teeth. If severe gum disease was the problem, then your gums will look more damaged until they have healed. If you lost them to an injury or failing Root Canal this could just be the trauma from the surgery. Either way the white tissue area is fine. You will feel real pain if the surgery site is infected or not healing well. I hope you recieved pain meds and antibiotics. Dont stop taking them. Stay away from smoking or any other activity like sucking through a straw. This will dislodge your boodclot and cause very serious pain if it becomes infected. Also, your bloodclot will look whitish/yellow. This is normal do not make the mistake thinking it is food. This is your bodys bandage for the site. Much like a scab. Hope this helps. Good Luck!! When were the extractions done?
