I have some sort of lump next to my throat?

Just yesterday I felt this little lump thing sticking out (not really noticeable but it's there) next to my bigass adams apple. It hurts when I swallow but not when I swallow food.

jear: get it checked out. it is unlikely anything serious but you would feel better if you knew for certain. it may be a lymph node or a cluster of them. maybe something on your thyroid too. no matter what the case, you should check it out.

also -- are you sure you're not just feeling your hyoid bone? the hyoid bone is the only bone in the body that doesn't have a "joint" or connection with another bone. it's by your adam's apple and you would be able to see it on both sides.

Could be a swollen lymph node but is also near the thyroid. You need to have it checked out to be on the safe side.
