Do you think this may be a fracture? |
Some kid at my school , who is like REALLY strong, hit me with the w=metal part of an umbrellla right in the middle of my lower left are. It appers to be swelled up, but it feels more like the bone itself is stickking out. Its been a little over a day since this happened and it still hurts when i touch it or tilt my wrist to the side. When he hit me it hurt so bad I screamed, but the major pain didnt last too long. I have some pictures but they arent very good. Its not that obvious of a bump but trust me, you can feel the difference between it and my other arm. Also there is a huge bruise on it as well. I know its hard to see in the pics but there really is a bump and bruise there Its just hard to see. Probably. You should've gone to the ER within the first few hours. I mean, now it's bad so you should really go to at least a doctor. When I fell on my foot on a trampoline (it was wet and my best friend pushed me and there was the net...), we went to the ER, which was a bad sprain. They're more adapt to fixing breaks. Go there since a doctor can't take x-rays normally but just order them; the ER can. Go to the doctor and let them take x-rays that is the only way you can be sure. the bone could have been chipped, so the doc can't really do anything. it will heal on its own cut it off get him arrested and go to the doctor Yes,go to a doctor now! that is a definate sign of a fracture...the bone sticking out...tell your parents so you can get a cast. if it was a fracture or a dislocation you couldnt move it See a Dr ASAP! Sorry, but no. How I can not actually say that it is a fracture or not it would not be a bad idea to have it checked out... If it hurts like you say it does it is then I would say that it is more than just a bruised bone... You Might Have A Deep Bone Bruise...Which Will Go Away. Although You Should Go See A Doctor Just To Make Sure Youre Ok. Your Parents should have you covered insurance wise...so why not...wont cost you nothin....Right!? yes you should go to the hospital for exrays. In the meantime, put lots of ICE on it to take the swelling down. Well, if it still hurts like that then yes you should see a doctor. It very well could be broken. Or it could be just badly bruised. You'll never know without an x-ray. Go to the doctors. The first pic is the clearest, but anyways. In my opinion you are better safe than sorry. If it is in fact fractured and you don't get the bone set, you might have to have it rebroken at a later date. You should get it x-rayed just to be certain. learn how to take a pic. if its a small fracture it will heal, its probably a bruise |
