Is it possible that my throat could be hurting because I need my wisdom teeth removed? |
My throat feels like its bruised and it hurts when I swallow... I went to the doctor and he said there is nothing wrong with me but I didn't even think to mention my wisdom teeth and he said nothing about it either. I have all 4 and there almost done growing in, I'm 21. They have never bothered me before. I have already had mono and you can only get it once.... its like chicken pox... i got it when i was 17 Yes , you are at the age, and also it could come and go, you need to go to your dentist who will refer you to an oral surgeon,It really is not that bad to have them removed. Actually that one is kind of my bad, I got a little carried away. Sorry about the bruising. well unless your teeth are growing behind ur throat... probably not...... I know they want to remove everyone's wisdom teeth these days. They certainly can cause problems. It is highly doubtful they are causing your throat problems though. I don't know what tests your doctor ran, but one problem for people your age could be mono. It is an easy one for the doctor to miss. If it worsens or doesn't improve, you could try an Ear, Nose, and Throat Doctor. You could try spraying your mouth with chloraseptic. It should give you some relief. Good Luck! |
