Bruises....?


hi everyone.. i have a bruise ( a very big, nasty one) on the inside of my thigh.. is there a fast way to get rid of it? i keep massaging it every day, but its still nasty.. oh.. and is it gonna go away anyway????

Arnica or witch hazel to draw it out - but it will last as long as it wants to! Sorry :(

my mum got this cream that brings bruises to the surface quicker to get rid of them, if you visit your local chemist and ask about it, im sure they can help you out.

I use the eagle brand medicated oil for my bruises, and it heals faster. I don't think massaging it helps. But if you don't have any medicated oil, just leave it as it is.

yeah it will go away. get more iron in your diet and that will help you to not get as big bruises. you bruise easier when you dont have enough iron in your diet.

Masasge is not so good for the injury.
A bruise is basically bleeding just below the skin.
Only thing to reduce the bruise is to ice the injury after it happens, but know im sorry u are stuff with it for about a week or so.

Makeup is your friend

Don't massage the bruise at all. You want the capilliaries which have broken (hence the bruise) to heal. Try putting arnica cream on it, available from a health food store.

Check with a doctor to make sure that the injury is healing. If your blood is not clotting properly your bruise may not heal. My aunt had mylodisplastic syndrome (my spelling may be off) and she would bruise easily then they would not heal. It was life threatening. Take symptoms seriously.

Apply leeches to the affected area and they will suck out the blood trapped underneath the skin.It wont hurt anymore than a tiny pin prick.You probably wont even feel it.

Massaging it may not be the best way to make it go away. You may actually prolong it that way.

There is no fast way to make it go away, although you can slightly shorted the time it takes to heal.

The best thing to do is apply some mild heat to the area on a periodic basis to improve circulation, which promotes healing.

Make sure your diet is healthy. It's just going to take time to heal, but giving your body all the tools to heal itself will help it happen faster.
