Why won't my bruises go away????

So I have numerous bruises on my legs from learning how to ride my motorcycle and I've had them for over two weeks now, some have faded a little, but for the most part they are still pretty visible.... why are they taking so long to go away????

I use to be anemic, but I've been taking iron for two years, so I can't see that being the source..... and I take a multi-vitamin everyday, and eat relatively healthy.....

what could I possibly be deficient in that is causing these bruises to be so stubborn????

(When I was younger bruises NEVER took this long to go away)

BTW..... I'm only 24..... so it's not like I'm uber old or anything.......

If you're still riding/learning to ride your motorcycle, you might be re-bruising your legs. If you keep bumping your leg in the spot that is bruised, the bruise will not fade.
Also, the bigger the bruise is the longer it takes to fade away. If you have large bruises, that's probably the problem, not any deficiency.

It might not be a bad idea to have your iron level checked even though you do take a supplement. Sometimes certain conditions keep our bodies from absorbing or using the iron. For example, I've heard that you shouldn't take Vitamin C and iron at the same time, since the Vitamin C will stop the iron from being absorbed. I could be wrong. Check with your doctor about that, while you're checking to make sure the iron is being used by your body. :)

And the re-bruising answer is also probably accurate.

You might need to check your blood, if everything is fine with your blood, visit a Chinese Traditional Physician for a diagnonis, you might be experience poor blood circulation.
