Girlfriend has lots of bruises on arms and legs? |
and no i've never hit her. she has like 10 bruises on her knee and doesnt recall ever falling down or bumping into anything. and she has one on her arm with a bump in the middle of it..i guess im wondering if anyone knows why someone might get multiple bruises without falling or having any contact with the point of bruising?, she thinks shes going to die, but i just tell her she'll be fine. a common symptom of lukemia is bruising, i would send her to a doctor if the bruising continues. There are a lot of reasons why your girlfriend might be bruising. You can check out www.webmd.com for potenial diagnoses. Don't get too worried about her, but she could have hemophilia (a disorder where the blood doesn't clot properly). Some people do just bruise easily, BUT (and this is an important "but"), if she never bruised easily in the past, and she suddenly has started to bruise, she needs to see a physician. If she has bruises on parts of her body that are hard to bruise (like her abdomen, or her underarm or her buttocks, etc) then it is even more important for someone to see her soon. Does she take a lot of aspirin, ibuprofen or any of the other nsaids forms of anti inflammatory drugs? Does she have a pre existing medical condition that requires her to take blood thinners of any kind i/e coumadin, predisone? Finally does she take vitamin supplements like garlic? If the answer is no to any of the afore mentioned questions she needs medical attention to rule out any underlying medical condition as soon as possible! Peace! |
