I went to the docs and he pressed my stomach on the right inside of my hip bone.?

It was sensitive and a little painful so he said he would like to look inside with a tiny camera. I only went in cos I'm signed off work with the flu and bronchitis so what does he thinks he has felt? Serious and helpful answers only please.

Some of these answers you are getting look scary!!

Don't worry. You have glands all over yoour body that react when there is an infection.
He could think your cold symptoms are an immune reaction to an infection in your tummy, or appendix.
Sometimes the appendix can become inflamed but settle down on its own without becoming dangerous or needing surgery.
He may suspect glandular fever.
In women, the ovaries are not far from that spot and the fallopian tubes can become infected sometimes. Again, this would cause an immune reaction giving you shivers, high temperature, feeling under the weather, drained and achy all over. Lots of glands are in your neck too, so you can get a sore throat and aching chest.

One answer I do agree with is that you should ask. It's your body, if you don't understand what the doctor is on about then ask.

They have to explain everything in detail befor doing anything anyhow, 'cause you need to sign a consent form for them to do it.
You need to know what you are giving them permission to do. Good luck.

isn't ur appendix there? maybe he thinks u have appendicitis...which is really bad

Go see him and ask. Good luck.

A testicle!!

He may suspect appendicitis. But we are not doctors - its best to speak to him about your concerns.

its cos your hip bones connected to your thigh bone
your thigh bones connected to your knee bone
your knee bones connected to your shin bone
your shin bones connected to your ankle bone
your ankle bones connected to your foot bone

NOW Hear the word of the lord

It is wise to follow your doctor's advice, especially when it comes to a non-invasive procedure. As long as your insurance pays for whatever diagnostic procedure he wants to do, it makes good sense to heed their advice. If you have any questions, feel free to ask your doctor. Many times they will get blood work or other types of tests just to confirm their diagnosis or to clear you of the possibility of different rare condition.

thats where you appendix is,why was he feeling your stomach if you went to him with the flu?:-(

He's probably checking your ovaries, sometimes you can have a cyst on your ovary a Corpus Lutium cyst, usually caused by your mentrual cycle they do normally go away on their own but he's wise to check it out. Or he'g doing a laporoscomy to check out your pelvis area I've had one and it's uncomfortable because they pump a gas into you and until the gas comes out it hurts but you'll be fine in a day. Best to alway be checked for any problems he may think you have. Good luck and good health, sounds like a goo doctor to me.

yep thats where your appendix are..?

around that area he is testing 4 your appendix to see if it hurts when he presses.if it does you may have appendicitus there is nothing else there so dont worry!

well it would be more helpfull to know if your male or female....and did they say where the camera was going i.e is it a colonoscopy (camera up the bum) or is it a bigger operation? these things will determine what the doctor suspects, it could be appendix but there is a much easier way of finding out (a rectal examination). if you are a lady then maybe a small problem with you overies (any previous problems there?) or if your a man then maybe a inguinal hernia (these are the cannals where testies drop down from when your a child and are a well known weak spot)....so all in all a multitude of things so more info please :-)
