Sick without insurance.... :( how do I get better faster? |
I just recently lost my military benefits when I graduated, and I dont start my new city job until this monday so my new benefits won't be available until a week or two after that. But Im sick right now! :( I feel SO helpless....I had military benefits all my life...now I know what no insurance feels like. I don't have medical insurance either. I am also making poverty levels now. I can't collect medicaid or medicare because I do not qualify in our state. sounds like cold/flu symptoms there are tons of products for that go to the pharmacy and ask for there help Unfortunately there is no substitute for proper medical care- especially if there is an infection. If the phlem is yellow-green in color, you are running a fever higher than 100, or are vomiting or have diarrhea then you will need to go to the ER or find an acute care clinic in your area. I would try some Sudafed and rotate Motrin and Tylenol to get rid of the fever. Take it easy for a few days. Try some ice pops. They will hydrate you and give you some vitamins. Drink lots and lots of water!! I am going through exactly the same thing!! Oh, and if you don't mind the taste of these things try Coldeez. They are lozenges that taste like s*%t, but they work really well. Hope you feel better and good luck with your jobs and stuff!! |
