How do you seriously unplug your ears?

My ears have been plugged up for years and I think it's making me crazy. I get lost in my own head because I don't have a real feel or balance of where everything is in relation to me. I have a CT scan appt in Jan then will get a referral to an ENT specialist. My doctor says my sinsues are really clogged and that I should have my deviated septum fixed and that should help. I am going to ask the ENT doctor about getting tubes or something in my ear even though I'm 35 years old. I got water in my ears this last summer and ended up getting viral bronchitis for a month and a half. I know the deviated septum surgery will help my sinuses and help me breathe, not to mention hopefully help with the pressure in my ears. I just don't what to do in the meantime? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to unplug the congestion in my ears so I can let the pressure out? I have all the appts set up with my doctor so I'm just wondering what I can do in the meantime. I seriously need help with this.

Your talking to a serious expert on the topic, I have found only three external approaches helpful, garlic/mullein ear oil(mullein breaks down particles), a Neti Pot with Himalayan salt to clear and clean the nasal passages which feed the ear canals, or ear cones or candles, which is a native tradition that actually seemed to save me one time when I was really dizzy from congestion for days.

most health food stores carry ear wax candles....they are amazing..they work so well.. have someone help you. you lay on your side and insert the bottom of the candle into your ear, the other end is lit like a candle and as it burns down there is a vacuum formed and a slow suction that unclogs your ears....after it is done...unroll it to be amazed at all the gunk that is extruded...works well they are only about 2.00 dollars each. i also suffer from deviated septum and had tubes in my ears when i was little.

Well I have a deviated septum & allergies & if I dont take stuff I cant breath!!
I cant believe your MD does not have you on something?
If you have allergies I would take some claritin / generic claritin along with some psuedofed in the morning & at night to help dry up & keep dry your sinuses,, If you dont like claritin you can use benadryl but that might make you sleepy, that will help with your ear pressure as well. If no allergies just the psuedofed will help dry up your sinuses. I would not recommend the regular nasal sprays because they can cause rebound swelling in your nasal passages after use of 3 days however I would use saline sprays ( salt water). Make sure that is all it is , saline & use that up to 4 times day as needed & that will help also with your nasal pressure.
You poor thing, I cant believe your Dr just left you all clogged up like this.

Good luck to you

The ear problem may be due to wax or blocked Eustacian tube
If wax mineral oil will soften it
If not wax I wonder if your tonsils are very swollen
