Persistent productive cough 3+ weeks?

i really do not know what to do. It started a little over three weeks ago and produced clear sputum, i took augmentin and it never went away. Early last week i went to the UMC and the doctor said i had bronchitis. she gave me cough syrup, coricol steroids, and a z-pac. To this day I cough a lot and it is still productive, with white/ green sputum. My chest hurts also.... i do not have time to see a doctor until after next week. any help would be great!!

You have probably had a severe case of bronchitis as stated,
Augmentum is a pretty powerfull anti biotic, should of sorted you, however sounds like you have not been back to Docs, it may have turned a little worse for wear.
Green sputum denotes a severe infection some say a broncho pneumonia, well this can most definitely be sorted but you will need a anti biotic again, perhaps the one you are on is resistant to your symptoms..? sounds like, steroids will be beneficial.
You really need to make time and see your Doc, get the right antibod that suits you.

If and when you next go to Docs ( say your productive with this cough, phlegm) why not take a specimen of sputum with you for analysis, no harm in that.

With the green color in there, it sounds like an infection. Probably still the Bronchitis, if not Pneumonia. It won't get better until you see the doctor and get some antibiotics.
