Persistent productive cough 3+ weeks? |
i really do not know what to do. It started a little over three weeks ago and produced clear sputum, i took augmentin and it never went away. Early last week i went to the UMC and the doctor said i had bronchitis. she gave me cough syrup, coricol steroids, and a z-pac. To this day I cough a lot and it is still productive, with white/ green sputum. My chest hurts also.... i do not have time to see a doctor until after next week. any help would be great!! Hi C. With the green color in there, it sounds like an infection. Probably still the Bronchitis, if not Pneumonia. It won't get better until you see the doctor and get some antibiotics. |
