i went to the doctors friday and she told me i have bronchitis and she prescribed me zithromax..but i didnt get a real onset of symptoms till late last night..i have sneezing..coughing...hoarseness of my voice..soreness in the throat..coughing up yellow/green mucus..did anyone else have these symptoms when they had bronchitis or could it be something else..i already started to take the anitbiotics on friday..but im just worried its something more severe being im also 28 weeks pregnant? I had bronchitis while I was pregnant. Those are the symptoms of bronchitis - and it is good when you start coughing up the mucus - it means things are breaking up in there. I had to go on a round of prednisone when I had it because I have asthma as well, but they generally don't like to prescribe those when pregnant if not absolutely necessary. This is your second or third day of antibiotics? If you are not feeling better on your last day, give the doc a call and get their opinion, because occasionally bronchitis can turn into pnemonia. Also, if you have any difficulty breathing, call the doc. Get better soon! Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy! sound like bronchitis to me. don't worry or you'll get something else. antibiotics dont work instantly. |
