My bronchitis is coming back, what should I do? |
At first I thought it wasn't very bad, but I actually had a teacher ask me in the hallway if someone in my house had recently started smoking, because I've been coughing a lot lately(no one in my house smokes). I had bronchitis a few weeks ago, and the cough came back after I went to a freezing high school football game last Friday. I got my cough medicine prescription refilled, but it's not helping much. I have cough drops and take a spoonful of honey before and after school, but nothing is helping my cough. I feel fine except for the back aches and headaches from coughing so much. It's the barking, body jerking cough of bronchitis. I don't want to go back to the dr, I was there last week for strep throat, 2 weeks before that for bronchitis, and a week before that with a severely sprained ankle. During class it's actually kind of funny because my teacher also has bronchitis and a girl in my class had pneumonia, so there's never a silent moment with all of us coughing. My doctor put me on antibiotics 3 weeks ago when I first had bronchitis. It was a z-pack, with 5 days of antibiotics. I take multi-vitamins with extra zinc and vitamin c in them. I eat healthy. I'm always sick because of my eternal state of stress. I'm 15. I have suffered from bronchitis and I know the pain you are going through. I've had my lungs x-rayed and have been asked the same thing about smokers, smoking, etc. you are gonna have to see a doc thats the only way |
