BRONCHITIS How to calm it down or cure it??? |
My daughter is three years old and I think she may have bronchitis. I know it may be contagis. Everytime I get a cold it turns into a very dry cough that sometimes last for two weeks. I guess its kind of like asthema, but the doctor told me that it was bronchitis. I want to know its something that can be passed along? How do you get rid of it? How to calm it down because my daughter can't even sleep good thru the day or night without coughing. She is now saying her chest hurts her. When we cough its very dry. Its not like any mucus or spit is coming up its just this real ugly cough. Any ideas or helpful hints will be greatly appreciated. A vaporizer is always helpful. If you don't have one, turn your shower on really hot and just sit with her in the bathroom. Make sure she is drinking lots of water! Water is the best thing for her. Anything with sugar in it will irritate her throat and cause her to cough more. Try having her sleep propped up and not laying flat. Warm wash cloths placed on the chest and throat are will help calm her down too. If the coughing keeps up,go back to the doctor, or else go to a new one. dont smoke, take up swimming and ask ur doc for inhalers but u should get a second opinion from another doctor One of the other natural treatment for bronchitis that help soothe the throat and stop the muscle spasms that trigger coughs is a herb called mullien having expectorant properties. Massaging the chest and back with a vegetable oil or massage oil is one of the other best bronchitis natural treatment that helps break up congestion in the lungs. Taking more supplements of vitamins A and C are best remedies that helps heal the inflammation of the bronchial tubes. You should get an inhaler for her when the cough gets real bad. However, you might want to try taking Manuka Honey as it's very effective for cough and cold. Manuka Honey has naturally occuring anti-biotics that helps cold and flu and it helps alleviating cough, sore throat and it also boost immune system. any cough syrup that contains licorice, or alternatively eat licorice, not every body likes it , but it helps sooth the pain that comes with the cough and the severity of it.Also help asthmatics too.10mls syrup or 4 to 6 pieces of licorice every 4 hours. When I have Bronchitis I am usually given antibiotics, steroids, and some sort of cough syrup. There were a few times where I had Bronchitis and didn't cough up anything but as soon as I got my medicines it broke it up and I was able to expel it from my body. I would suggest taking your daughter to the Dr to prevent this from leading to Pneumonia. You can also run a humdifier in her room to help. Cough is caused by a number of ailments. |
