Bronchitis still???

I was told two and a half week ago that i had bronchitis and a upper respiratory infection. I was given antibotics and Mucinex DM. Well up until 3 days ago i was still producing mucous. I quit taking the Mucinex a week ago cause everything was getting better beside the mucous on and off through the day. This morning i starting having this mild like cough but its a dry cough. And since last night i feel like i am suffocating at times. Could this still be the Bronchitis?

Thanks i finished the antibotics a few days ago they only out me on a 7 day dose of Biaxin.

Well if you took large doses of mucinex hoping you can heal better then your body probably adapted to it, and since you stopped taking it your air passages probably shrunk so even though the amount of mucous that was there isnt any greater it feels like it is because of the diameter of your bronchioles. Youll heal though just make sure you keep taking the antibiotic even if you feel better.

Bronchitis can last for months and is viral has no cure except time. I had bronchitis once from November till April. It sucked but I didn't feel bad I just hacked up a lung every time I coughed!LOL! Seriously, though I did have it that long and the doc told me that he could no more that it was viral and only time would take it away. I hope you do not have it, but bronchitis can last a very long time and may not go away in a few weeks.

Good luck!
