Can bronchitis occur after pneumonia? |
I've had an acute case of pneumonia a year ago. I'm currently sick with bronchitis. Before the onset of bronchitis, I've been sniffing about 8 times in the row and occasionally coughing. Could it be possible that this case of bronchitis is just a reoccurrance of previous decease (pneumonia) in a new form? man nobody but a doctor can answer this truthly so give one a call pneumonia differs from bronchitis in that it is an invasive infection of the lower respiratory system. The infection has broken through the wall of the bronchi and entered into the tissues of the lung. The infected lung tissue has blood vessels that may transport the infectious bacteria to other parts of the body, causing bodily symptoms (see below) and potentially, a more serious disease process. |
