Is Bronchitis infectious after the fever stage?

I am curious, because I am getting cabin fever and want to visit friends. I believe I am experiencing bronchitis. The reason I believe this is because of past experience. We are talking exact same symptoms now as in the past. In the past I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. (I never thought it was ever cute.)

Goyo
Do you get the dry/raspy or the wet cough?
Sometimes I get both.

Sorry to tell you this, but Bronchitis is not a virus, therefore it is never infectious, even when it causes a fever.
Bronchitis is actually severe asthma. It is caused by an allergy and begins as an allergic reaction. After the body reacts, then it begins putting out phlegm in the lungs to protect against whatever has invaded the respiratory system. This leads to acute asthma. Most people who develop bronchitis once in their life will have it many times during their lifetime, because it is caused by an allergy. This is called chronic bronchitis (recurring). Others will only have it that one time. That is called acute bronchitis (isolated incident).

It's contagious, sorry but you should stay home. Why not talk on the phone or online with your friends!
