Can smoking cause bronchitis?

I'm a pretty regular smoker and I also deal with a lot of stress in my life, I just got over having constant panic attacks. I'm wondering if bronchitis can be caused by smoking cigarettes and marijuana. I have been smoking regularly for about four or five months now and about 4-5 days ago I started to get a bad cough with wheezing and chest congestion. When I cough I can't seem to cough up the phlegm in my chest and all the coughing is giving me chest pain and headaches. Is this bronchitis? At the beginning of the illness I had very watery eyes at night and trouble sleeping...if it is bronchitis can I recover on my own?

these are the reults of your smoking use. You'll need to quit or heavily cut back on your smoking to see a change

yeah- duh! go to the dr.

Yes that sounds like bronchitis. You dont want to try and recover on your own because then it can become worst. You might've not got it from smoking; but im pretty sure you do have it.

no but it can make it a thousand times worse and almost impossible to get over and you need to see a doc. Oh, and you need to quit smoking

Yes

YES! Quit smoking before it kills you.

Yes... as well as many many other things. I don't understand why people smoke, its not cool and they know its going to kill them early let alone the affect it has on there wealth and relations.

Just stop smoking ... NOW!

bronchitis is the inflammation of the bronchiols. Smoke irritates the lining of the airway. Yes you can recover on your own. It is temporary, where emphezema is not.

Yes, you should really see a doctor. If you have something worse than bronchitis and you don't know it, it could be serious. Good Luck
