I don't know about bronchitis but I have had strep a lot! There isn't much you can do about it but rest, drink plenty of fluids and make sure you are taking your medication. Chicken soup and orange juice can help and drink as much water as possible! Sometimes taking a hot bath can help you feel better.

Hope you feel better soon!!

They should have given you an injection of antibiotics and then the pills as that would've worked a bit faster. My doctor told me when i had strep to mix an adult dose of liquid benadryl with equal amount of mylanta and take that every four hours till i felt better. The mylanta numbs your throat and the benadryl helps with the swelling. It actually works very well. As for the bronchitis, i took mucinex 1200 mg twice a day for a week and then 800 mg twice a day for two weeks and that cleared out a lot of the mucus. (got rid of the headaches from constant sinus pressure too!) It should be safe to take any of these with azithromycin also but you can check with a pharmacist also. For work, don't rush back too soon and I know that is hard when you need the hours but it will make you sicker believe me. It can take a month to get over bronchitis and with strep on top of that u need to rest as much as possible! U can wind up in hospital with pneumonia if you push yourself too hard! Good luck and let me know if it helps!
