Thick green secretions are indicative of pneumonia. By both of your parents smoking you are at a higher risk of developing serious infections. Bronchitis generally doesn't have green sputum. It is usually dark yellow and funky smelling. By the time it turns green it is a pneumonia.

You need to see a doctor ASAP and get control of this. MUCINEX, antibiotics, and lots of fluid.

Could be bronchitis but it could be a lot of other things, too. Go to the doctor and be sure to explain the green phlegm. They'll most likely give you antibiotics.

If your parents smoke in the house you're more likely to get bronchitis / other respiratory illnesses. I used to get bronchitis every year as a child but when my parents stopped smoking in the house I stopped getting so sick.

You should probably see a doctor. Bacterial diseases like pneumonia and bronchitis are hard to throw off on your own, and can be fatal. You doctor may want to put you on antibiotics to throw off the illness if it is bacterial, but be sure to build yourself up with probiotics afterwards, since your good bacteria got killed off with the bad. I was on seven rounds of antibiotics for pneumonia in a couple of months and it really took a toll on me. Yeast spread throughout my system and now I'm on a strict diet and lots of medication and supplements. So be sure to take your probiotics afterwards!
