Allergic reaction spreading...help? |
yesterday i had some weird allergic reaction to i dont know what... and when i say weird.. its because i have never been allergic to anything my entire 18 years of life. ill rule some things out if it makes it easier: could be a lot of things but here's somethings to think about to help you deduce what u are allergic too. Benadryl take benedryl. It may make you sleepy, but it will help. Then make an appt to see the doc. Benadryl cream if it returns go to urgent care, ER, or your doc and get a shot Anti-histamines are what you want. Benadryl is the only OTC one that I can think of. benadryl, but in some people it can make them sleepy so if you can find non drowsy that would be good. If you start having trouble breathing or feel your throat start tightening go to the hospital right away. It might be due to what your wearing. I don't really have any allergies but when I wear my work clothes(button down collered shirt) and I leave the coller to tight it rubs the skin and ocasionally cause a red area and some bumps. I'd suggest you loosen the collar a little and mabey be careful about have the collar starched(if you get the shirts dry cleaned). Benadryl or chlotrimiton (not sure I spelled that right) is what Benadryl and make sure you did not get bitten by a spider. I got bitten once on the cheek without knowing it and the reaction is exactly the same as yours. Make an appointment with the doctor. Keep taking the benadryl until you can get an appointment. The reason it keeps coming back is because what ever has been injected in your skin is still there. The Benadryl only blocks it temprarily. Good luck. The cold water will help you feel less miserable anyway. Allergies are the immune system's reaction to a substance that you took before, but not always. Having sensitive skin myself, one thing that does help calm an irritant down until you can get medical help is to put cold milkon the irritated area. When I was a facial consultant and a client had an adverse reaction to some of the cosmetics we used, we would use milk to equalize the area. If the milk calmed it down and it stayed down, it was usually something topical. If it either didn't cool it down or it came back, it was subcuteanous and needed medical attention. |
