Am I being paranoid?


All righty so recently i did research on Insulin and Insulin resistance. I found out many great things of which i never knew before. When i looked at the symptoms of someone who's cells are resistant to insulin, i was shocked to see that i had ALL of the synptoms. So here i am, sure that the reasons for all those things I've been experiencing is insulin resitance. I'm 99%, though my mom thinks im being stupid. I showed her the website from where i got my information from, but she still didn't think that i have any sort of problems because I got my blood tests done recently. She believes I'm making excuses. But i know how i feel, and i feel like crap all the time. How do I deal with this? By the way, i dont think i have diabetes or anything but I could get em soon....God forbid. If you had blood work done recently, what was the HbA1c percentage on your results? This is a good indicator of whether you are having diabetic tendancies or not.

But you should change your lifestyle anyway. The tendancy to become diabetic is inheritable. You may not get it, but better to change to low carbing food plan and more exercise! It will make you feel a whole lot better and will tone and buff your bod too!

I do not treat my daughters or granddaughters like they are nutzo just because they are concerned about whether they will become diabetic in the future. They use one of my glucometers to check their fasting glucose on a weekly basis. We want them to be in better shape than I was when diagnosed!!! We do not want them to have to take a boatload of oral meds and insulins if it can be prevented.

Find a friend who needs or wants a workout, go biking or walking, swimming even, for an hour every day!! You will have company and you will be toning your body and getting fresh air and Vitamin D for your efforts. It helps to clear the brain for school or work also.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Recommendations- Try an Experiment!

Change the way you eat, and exercise more. See if that doesn't make any difference.
If it doesn't it may end up being something else maybe even depression.

I'd suggest you talk to a counselor at school to get started in the right direction.
