Ever been disabled because of degenerative spine/hip?

Just saw MD.. asked me how much longer I have until I retire..The question says it all. I'm too young to retire and have put in 23 years of employment with an excellent record. I dont' want to retire medically.. and would like to find something within the company to finish my career.. Did supervise for a few years..but not sure that is the option I want and I don't want to be cripple at retirement age. I have a few weeks to figure out with path I'll take. My back was fused 40 years ago.. Birth defect..

No, I can't say I've gone through what you are going through. If your present job causes you condition to get worse, you should really consider doing something less physical. Management is the way to go, otherwise, you should try to get into the music industry....since you love music and are a good guitar player. Good luck on your choice.
