Is clear soda better for your kidneys then dark soda?

I have only one kidney and so far no complications although I'm approaching 35y/o and doctors aren't sure if this was a birth defect of some sorts or if I have taken too many different medications thru-out the years that may have caused one to shrink to a size that is ineffective ...who knows anyway I am trying to make sure I don't result in having the need to replace either ever...surgery and all ...not my thing doesn't sound as if I would make it onto any waiting lists considering my past anyway just thought I would get feedback ...trying to change my habits one or two at a time

Not really. It might be better for your stomach, because clear sodas tend to have less acids in them. But they all have tons of sugar, which is what you need to avoid. Anyway, since you only have one kidney, you need to ask your doctor about all of your dietary choices :-) Good luck!

water is better

No soda including diet is good for you although 7-Up has been shown to help settle your stomach. Fruit drinks aren't especially healthy either because a lot of them are full of sugar. You have to read labels. You best bet is still water.
