I came from a very dis functional family and for years no one has tried to get professional help now, and?

it happens to be me. every since I have been going to my thearpist my family has been acting like I dontlikethem or like im mad but I m not I actually want to help them see he ight which I know I have no power to do that. dI am loosing them andd it hurts very much because I feel like they hate me and they think I think I btter then they are, they dont support me emotionally physically or financially, the fights and stuff hurts my kids and me. i know what to do but its hard. by the way Im a single mom with two girls one has a serious birth defect

i can relate to your story ,there is no way to change your family...they dont hate you,there afraid of change,some people are happy to stay the same,they can even be ignorant of the way they express themselves to other family member's and when a family member does something that help's themselves,i can tell through experience you they'll really seem mean (putting it nicely),so you need to change the way you feel about what they are doing......and unfortunately except that the family arent there for you...it's my harsh but true reality...find supportive people outside of the family....srry but who ever said that family were the most important people in your life are lier's....they can be the most distructive...move away from them
