Why is my urine never yellow?

The majority of people have yellow urine, but when I urinate its always clear. Is this like a birth defect or something?

You are fine. Your urine is clear because you probably drink alot of liquids. You really dont want a heavy yellow or orange pee, becasue that means that you arent drinking enough liquids. The color of urine doesnt necessarily mean more or less toxins or that its healthier, it mostly has to do with the amount of liquids you drink and how frequently you pee. Ideally you are drinking enough liquids so that your pee is clear, whether it be a little yellow or not. This means that you are keeping a good healthy constant flow through your body.

i was told the more yellow it is the less hydrated u are. if thats true then u must be plenty hydrated all the time. do u drink a lot of water? i've noticed mine isn't yellow if i have water before. it don't sound like something to worry about.

Are you a dude? I know females have alot going on so our urine changes day to day for a dark yellow to an almost clear...
Usually drinking alot of water makes my urine clear still has a tint of yellow though.
I actually think that's a good thing, but hey you might be lacking something so when you get a chance go and check that out.

you must keep yourself hydrated, drinking plenty of water? the more you drink the more your kidneys work and your urine will be a lighter color...ideally you want your urine to be so light you could read a newspaper through it....i bet its a darker color when you wake in the morning....thats because you havent been drinking anything all night....

The more water in your urine, the lighter the color. The more vitamins/minerals, the richer the color. If you take multivitamins, you pass most of what you ingested fairly quickly, and can get a deep yellow color.

If you are drinking a lot of liquids, clear is not a problem. As long as your diet is healthy, that is.

If you do drink a lot of liquids, try cutting back for a few days. This should reduce the volume of your urine, and it should turn somewhat more yellow. If it does, it means that your urine is just dilute, and you can go back to drinking normally. If it doesn't get darker, you've probably got some dietary deficiency. Eat more veggies.
