Preparing for avian flu?

Will people be required to be cremated due to death by avian flu? That seems to be the method used with birds and animals so far.

It is unlikely that that would be the case. True, we cremate infected birds, well, incinerate actually, but it wouldn't be feasable for humans. People would die individually all over the country, not just in one place. Also mass incineration would not be publically acceptable.

Finally, the reason for inceineration of infected birds is to try to stop the spread of Avian Influenza. If it reaches the point of an airborn human - human transmisable virus, then there is no longer the need for such stringent control methods.

what? breathe in, breathe out... the avian flu isnt even found to spread from human to human.. plus, we already have vaccines for it. ;-)
