If you're talking about an op to remove gallstones then it's quite a simple process.

It's done by keyhole surgery and you only need an overnight stay in hospital. You need to rest up for about a week afterwards.

It's not particularly painful, certainly not 1% as painful as it is when your gall bladder becomes inflamed!

I'm not sure if this is the op that you're asking about because this question is in the cancer section and it's not cancer. However, if it is gallstones it's not anything to worry about.
