Where is the category for bereavement?

I believe "Family & Relationships General" would best suit a bereavement question.

I can't find it sorry

possibly psychiatric illness

You could try family and relationships.

Bereavement is the loss of a person, family member, even a pet, or a job. Its the experiencing of suffering the lost of a loved one, or something that was constant in our life.
The act of griefing and the stages of grief or anger, deniel, bargaining,fear,sorrow,despair,depressio... and finally acceptance. All of these stages happen at different times and sometimes all at once in a single day.
With the loss of my Mother the day after Thanksgiving has brought me into some bereaving moments. But everyday is getting better then I hear a song or see something to remind me that she is gone. Like today I was out shopping and watching people pick out cards for mothers day. I can't do that this year, and I am griefing over the loss of that simple act. But I got a few cards to send to a friends Mother and my friends who are Mothers and hope that I can bring something to each of them this year.

There is no category for bereavement. People tend to post their questions under Mental Illness and do get quite a lot of help and advice from that section.

:-)))

For me, religion section, however family and relationships sounds appropriate. I'd never have thought of health(mental illness) section, since grief has nothing to do with mental illness.

The Victorians had a very good regimen for bereavement do not take any serious decisions for at least two years , particularly getting remarried or forming a firm friendship This even before the advent of psychology and depression was very good advice we are still under a type of depression for at least two years aftera bereavement .So no hasty moves please

If you want any other advice i would say seek a counselor ther is not likely to be a column on this site as it it to big a subject for prole to moraalty be able to understand and relat egood advice to you
