Looking for lactation without pregnancy..? |
my 20 year old daughter has been lactating and isn't pregnant... possible benign tumor that starts with a "G"??? any info would be helpful.. Thanks There is a tumor called prolactinoma. It is benign and may cause lactation without pregnancy. It may also be galactorrhea. Or it could just possibly be idiopathic prolactinemia, which basically means lactating for no reason. Which is what I have. I have been tested through an MRI for the porlactinoma and galactorrhea and both came back negative. Also, my doc tested my thyroid. If she has hypothyroidism, it could also cause this. Hope this helps. |
