Urgent!!!!?

Today, I had a CT scan and an MRI scan and they were both on my brain. I was diagnosed with a mild concussion and a limpoma. A limpoma is a fatty benign brain tumor. I have a concussion and a brain tumor. They said that they were going to keep and eye on it to see if it grows. I read that they never become cancer. What would happen if it kept growing and it was never removed? What do I need to expect? I get these really bad headaches. Is that the tumor? What do I need to expect? Will I live?

Are dizzy spells normal? Is it normal to experience dizziness? Sharp stabbing pains? Pressure? Headaches?

well I can't really answer your question but I fell for you, that sucks man

may i start off by saying i'm sorry. you've obviously had a lot to deal with and take in today, and from the sounds of it your doctors aren't giving you the attention and information you need.

i think it would build up pressure on your brain, in which case there are measures they could take to stop it getting any worse.

if it grows undetected it could be dangerous, but if ur docs are keeping a close eye on it there shouldn't be a problem. your symptoms sound like they could be caused by the pressure this had on your brain, but i'm no doctor. go back and say that you were in shock the day the results were given and you'd like to discuss things with your doctor in more detail

hope this helps and you feel better soon

I would certainly get a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinion on that diagnosis and treatment. I am sorry to say that I do not have any personal experience except for my mother-in-law. She had been to many, many doctors-diagnosing her with slipped disc, lyme disease, and many more. When she moved to New Jersey, she had to get new doctors and they kind of started the diagnosis assessments all over. Her new doctors finally found a brain tumor that was as flat as a pancake on the top of her brain which had been there for who knows how long. The tumor was effecting her motor and cognitive abilities and it was something that her doctors did not take lightly.
Good luck and my prayers are with you.
