I have benign breast cysts and they have been biopsed and they hurt. there is alot of breast cancer in my fam

I have many lumps and bumps and some hurt and some do not and I am not sure if I should worry about future cancer or not. my sisiter (has breast cancer) said this is how she started. i have been diagnosed with benign fibromyalgia breast cysts and tumor. should I worry? is this a pre cancerous issue or am i over reacting because i have had many famly deaths with this disease......--->?????

Best thing to do is talk it over with your doctor. Stop drinking caffeine if you are now. Caffeine can cause cystic breast. It was the first thing I was told to stop after being diagnosed with breast cancer. If your are taking birth control pills stop, or HRT. I am sure your doctor will tell you what you need to be on the look out for. You might want to have a mammo done twice a year. You could have benign cysts for years before one turns up cancerous, and then you could go for the rest of your life with only benign cysts. I know you need to watch your diet and keep your weight down. Try not to worry, I know easier said than done.

Ok - I have to wonder why you're asking people if you should worry. You're clearly already worried, so that issue is taken care of. What you DO need to do is talk with your doctor about your options, and be SURE to get a yearly mammogram, as well as doing breast self-exams. Only you and your doctor can decide what is the right course of treatment (if any) for you.

Good luck!

You have been diagnosed with 'Benign Fibrocystic Breast Disease' and the word here is BENIGN. I was diagnosed 10 years ago and started evening primrose oil, no problem since. No you should not be worried. My Sister panicked as she had a mammogram, turned out to be the same as me.
You can get a blood test for Breast Cancer and I am surprised that as your Sister has this, it runs in your family, all questions you would have been asked 'before' the biopsy they did NOT test you, really strange.
This was a previous question from you:
I am in my 40's and my periods are crazy irregular, bad acne too, what's going on?
usually I am a steady eddie. my family calls me "the glue." lately I am all over with my emotions. More like slop, then glue! I know this could be metapause but do not have any referance ( no mom, sisiters, mom images etc) . If it is metapause what should I do to relieve this? it feel horrible
So do you have a sister alive ot not?
