Has anyone ever heard of Bell's Palsy? |
Have you ever heard of Bell's Palsy, had it, or have it now? I'm just wondering how common it is. I actually have had it since the spring. My neurologist tells me that it is more common than many think. no friend just had it it went away after treatment My brother had it, it didn't last very long. It was funny when he tried to talk! my neighbour had it, it just came on suddenly. Half her face was paralyzed but after some time passed, so did the Bells Palsy, apparently that is common this should give you all the info you need. I have heard of it. Usually you recover in 2 to 3 weeks. It can occur overnight and it is fairly common. I have heard of it. Jim Ross (a WWE announcer) has it. Bell's palsy weakens or paralyzes the muscles on one side of the face. When something is paralyzed, it can't move, so half of the person's face might look stiff or droopy. The paralysis does not last forever, but someone who has it will have trouble moving one side of his or her face. Yes, i have heard of it. I worked at a company where the credit manager had a bf (plus 4 kids) - who stressed her out immensely!. she developed deep tremors and one side of her face fell/dropped down (the muscle control was gone) - a shame, because she was a beautiful young, vibrant woman before this happened. sad, huh? I had a friend who had a sudden stroke that paralyzed half his face. He went to the doctor, who did absolutely no diagnostic tests, just looked at him (a young healthy looking guy) and said "Don't worry, it's just Bell's Palsy" - and sent him home. I have never had Bell's palsy, but my sister did this summer. |
