How long does Bell's Palsy last?

I have a mild case, and my doctor said it should be gone before August. I also just found out I have lyme disease. do you think both will be gone before August? Im going on a cruise. also Im taking medication for the lyme and steroids to help with the BP.

With or without treatment, most individuals begin to get better within 2 weeks after the initial onset of symptoms and recover completely within 3 to 6 months.

BP can go away in 3 weeks or so like mine did or can be disfiguring forever.

I recently had Bell's Palsy, and after seeing my GP on a Monday and getting steroids, I went to my naturopath/chiropractor on a Thursday morning. By Thursday afternoon my smile was coming back. I went again on Friday and Monday, and I was totally back to normal. He adjusted the bones in my face to increase the blood flow to the affected muscle. His name is Robert Gear, Jr. and he's in Phoenix at Comprehensive Health, 3434 N. 7th St., 602-263-8484. I moved out of the country a month ago and am having a hard time finding a chiropractor as knowledgeable as him.

People with Lyme disease usually find that steroids make them worse.
