Has anyone ever felt like your heart skiped a beat or jumped? |
Im 26 and Im pregnant so I have alot of indigestion and traped gas. But this morning I felt like my heart jumped or stoped beating for a few secs. It scared me so I jumped up really fast and then I felt faint. I screamed for my husband but by the time he got to me it had stoped and I just felt really shakey. My mom said its indigestion or traped gas and my nerves. Has this ever happened to any of you. Every since it happened it feels like its going to happen again and im belching alot! (i know gross but hey). It might have been a brief moment of tachycardia brought on by anxiety. Not usually anything to worry about, but run it by your doctor. Tachycardia refers to a rapid beating of the heart. By convention the term refers to heart rates greater than 100 beats per minute in the adult patient. The patient was complaining of an irregularity of the heart rate and heart rhythm. Atrial Tachycardia also includes the "jumped" and "stopped" feeling the asker described . I should know, as I have this condition, as diagnosed by a physician. Check the definition - Thats bad! you should go to the doctor. yes this has happened to me lots of times and I have a perfectly good Strong heart.Your mom could be right but if you are worried then get your doctor to check it out.I am sure that it is nothing to worry about. It could be an ectopic heartbeat or something to do with your pregnancy, not being an expert I can't say for sure. This actually happens to us all. You felt faint because you jumped up to fast. the blood strangely enough had to catch up in a matter of speaking. You should see your Dr. you may also need more iron while you are pregnant. |
