That's what Ive heard.But if not,you could always stomp on it to make sure. Bees do die after stinging you. But becareful if you live in an area with killer bees. When the bee stings it emits a theramone (sp?) odor which alerts nearby bees of danger. Yes, YES..As it puts it's barbed Stinger in your skin, the Bee will pull away and in the process pull his "guts" out along with the stinger, and he subsequently dies.
